What I want to be when I grow up...

Sydney wants to be "the Dr. that pulls the babies out of the mommies tummies" when she grows up.
I just love her job titles. Wonder if that will fit on her name tag.

For real

Sydney says this continually and its hilarious. She will tell you something and they say "for real" Mommy.

Rain

Sydney is so smart. It was raining on the way to daycare and she taught me where the rain comes from. She said that the sun takes it up to the clouds and then it rains.

Dogmation marks

Sydney has been begging me to teach her to read for a while now. She even figured out how to spell Mom and Dad all by herself. She is just so smart. We are working on punctuation now and wheneve I ask her what the exclamation mark is she announces that its a "dogmation mark". Its hilarious.

Dogmation

We saw a dog this morning and Syney wanted to know if it was a "dogmation". It was not a dalmation either. lol

Cooker lady

Sydney tells me she wants to be a "cooker lady" when she grows up. She actually means a chef.

chicken pockets

Sydney commented the other day that she had "chicken pockets" (not pox) all over her as she was blotchy. It was hilarious.

When??

Whenever Sydney refers to something that happened in the past is always "last night ago".
She went to school "last night ago" and she played soccer "last night ago". Just too cute that she has to add the AGO to it too.

Sad songs

She is so soft hearted. She started crying in ballet a couple of weeks ago and when I asked her what was wrong she told me that the music was making her sad. It was a slow classical music for their warm up.
Then the other day I was playing a slow song on the computer and she starts to bawl at the kitchen table telling me that the music is sad.
Poor little baby!!

Beards

Sydney refers to Bob's beard as a "bee berd". She will draw a picture of him and then show you his bee berd.

Bugs

I tried to explain to the kids what makes them sick. They didn't understand what a germ was so I told them it was kind of like a bug. Now they think bugs are in them when they are sick.
Spencer had the stomach flu and was throwing up a few days ago. This morning there was a giant mosqito hawk in the kitchen and Sydney announced that it was the bug from Spencer's tummy and he "puked" it out and is now feeling better.

Little softey

Poor little soft hearted Sydney. You just have to look cross and her and she stops and you can see her heart breaking in her expression. She just looks at you and her eyes fill up with tears and she is all upset. She will tell you that you made her sad. How can you be mad then???

Koomalaide

We have another euphemism that we will have to use forever now. Sydney refers to koolaide as koomalaide.
We call it that now all the time.

You hurting me mommy

She is constantly saying this to me. I hear it when I do her hair, when I bump he by accident or pretty much ALL the time!!!! That and "ow, your hurting me!!"
She looks at you all pathetic too when she says it. You just have to give her a big hug and kiss and she is all better.
What a sweetie.

How sweet is she?

She is just so loveable!!!! She tells you that she "loves you too" all the time now and not just when you tell her first. She will also come up and grab your face in both her hands and tell you that "you are so sweet".
She wants to hear that she is a GOOD GIRL all the time and will tell you to say it. "Say good girl mama".

Love you too!!!

Sydney has started to answer you when you tell her that you love her. Its just melts your heart to hear "I love you too mama".

What you talkin' about?

This is Sydney's new catch phrase. She will say "you funny Mommy" and then laugh and say "what you talkin' about Mommy?"
Its just hilarious.

Who's the boss of you?

She is such a little bossy butt!!
When we go play at the park Caden MUST follow her around and do what she wants or she gets mad. She will scream his name and tell him "c'mon Caden!!!"
Good thing he likes to do what she wants. Peyton doesn't bother with her and Sydney knows not to try and boss her around. lol

Singing

Sydney has started to sing along to songs. This morning we were listening to "The Sound of Music" in the car while taking Spencer to preschool. She was singing away to "So Long, Farewell" in the backseat. It was just so cute. They are sitting in the livingroom right now watching "Pocket Snails" and she is singing the abc's along with the show. Its just adorable!!!!

Little Miss Indenpendant

She tells you to "leave me lone" when you try to help her out of the car or booster seat. "I do it!!!!!!" is her response too.
Where is my helpless little baby that needed to do everything for her?!?!?!?

I'm free!!!

Well Sydney is now climbing out of her bed. She was crying and did not want to go to bed and just got up and came to the top of the stairs screaming for Daddy. We are in trouble now!!!!

roseola

I think that is what Sydney has. She had fevers of 104 on the way home from Canada then developed a rash once the fevers subsided. She is really cranky too, even though you are not supposed to have any symptoms. Someone should tell her that.

Sharon and I measured you today and you are 3 feet 1/4 inches tall.

Raspy voice

Dad says that Sydney sounds like Mercedes McCambridge. She is an old actress and had a hoarse sounding voice.

Poopy on the potty

Sydney told me she needed to sit on the potty this evening and acually pooped a little bit. I of course didn't notice so I couldn't make a big deal about it. I am so proud of my big girl!!!!!!

Orange

Orange is Sydney's favorite color now. She signs it and wants the orange sippy cup or regular plastic cup now. She is too funny.

Picky picky

Sydney has decided that she prefers one thing over another now. When I am handing out suppy cups she will scream and cry if she doesn't get the colour she wants. She will just toss the cup across the table if its not the right one. Its hilarious. She also knows which one was hers at breakfast and HAS to have it back at lunch

I miss you

I took Sydney to the dentist to have her broken tooth checked out. It was just fine an needs no treatment. I figured she would really enjoy the time alone with Mommy.........Not.
She spent the whole time saying "I want Caden, I want Peyton, I want Spencer!" in a whiny little voice. I guess she is so used to being with them that she hated to be separated. It was just so cute.

Favorite song

Sydney's favorite song is "Elmo's Song". She asks for it AGAIN and AGAIN when its over. Its just so cute. She wants "elmo's song again!"

Clean up

I was cleaning up toys this morning and singing the clean up song. Now Sydney won't stop singing the song (with the correct words and tune) and picking up toys and putting them away. My little helper!!!

Baby wants...

Sydney has started referring to herself in the third person. She tells me all the time that "baby wants drink" or "baby wants up". Whatever she wants she tells me that baby wants it. I call her baby all the time so I know where she is getting it.

Agoweeze

Our dog is called Androculese....poor dog right? lol
Needless to say the kids cannot pronounce his name. Sydney calls him agoweeze. Its so cute.

Monkies

Sydney was just looking at the computer monitor and I had a picture of Daddy and his brother James up from when they were about 4 yrs old. She looked and said (and signed ) "monkey". How hilarious is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want my Mommy!!!

She has gotten so smart. She will tell Bob all the time "I want my Mommy", with a saucy undertone. Now if I tell her something she doesn't want to hear or she gets mad at me she tells me "I want my Daddy!!!!"
So cute!!!!!!!!!!!
Spencer spends the whole day saying "I want my Mommy" so I wonder where she got it from. lol

what you do?

Now she has started chasing me all over the house asking "mommy, mommy, mommy (while tapping me on the arm with her hand) what you do?"

ABC..........

Sydney knows the whole alphabet. We were reading a letter book today and she was able to tell me what all the letters were.
She is so smart!!!!

Damn it

Sydney's favorite saying is "damn it". Gets that from her Mommy :( She uses it correctly too. She will drop a toy or anything and out it comes.

one, two three.....

Sydney counted to 3 today. She even did it more than once. I am really impressed. She knows most of her letters too. She is smart just like her Mommy. lol

Sydzilla

She may be the smallest, but she is certainly the bossiest of them all.
When someone does something they are not supposed to do she yells at them in her deep hoarse little voice. Just this morning Caden pushed Peyton so she ran over and hugged Peyton and told her "shhh" as she was crying. They she proceeded over to Caden and got in his face and was yelling at him telling him "no push, you bad". The funny thing is the voice she uses..........sounds like the excorsist. ha ha ha

What doin' Bob?

She continually chases Bob around the house asking him "what doin' Bob?" Its hilarious!!

you cute

She just grabbed my face and said "you cute" and rubbed my cheek. How sweet is that.

I help you?

Sydney started saying "I help you"a while ago. She uses it when she wants you to help her and when she wants to help you. You are never quite sure which one is the case. Very cute!!!!

What you do?

I will get after one of the other kids for something or they hurt themselves. Sydney always runs over asking "what you do?" She wants to know what they did to get get in trouble or get hurt.
She is so nosey!!

kebbige

Sydney has decided that "kebbige" (kind of sounds like cabbage with an e) is the name for ketchup. She has all the other babies calling it that now too.
Too cute!

Thank um

Sydney signs thank you and says "thank um" When is thanking you and saying your welcome. Just a combination of both.
